Disaster Solutions Management's substantial purpose designed Disaster Recovery Centre is located in northern Cambridgeshire, close to the A1(M).
It provides Collocation. Offiste backup, Data/Server Hosting, Workplace Positions (across eight air conditioned suites) and Secure Storage
Highly energy efficient, the centre requires under 400va per user position 1/3rd of most DR Centre's). The result is that it uses fuel more slowly than competitors during a disaster scenario.
Sited in a fenced gated compound in a low risk area, away from industry & commerce, the centre is NOT dependant on Mains Electricity, Main Gas, Mains Water or Mains sewerage. It has enough fuel and provisions to operate for up to three months. A 4.5 acre site provides comodious space and flexibility.
Resilience in communication links is provided by Microwave & Fibre. Links carry Data & Telecoms traffic with failover facility (Diverse Routing)
if required. Further resilience is added by individual Telecom & Data switches for each suite.
Three major "A" roads provide routes to the service road from which the DSM facility can be accessed. ALL are suitable for HGV/PSV vehicles. The
centre itself has two access roads - leading up to "security card" controlled, CCTV monitored steel gates.
